The CEMB ER73TD HubMatch™ Wheel Balancer with Manual Locking is made especially for busy tire shops.
A high volume diagnostic wheel balancer that uniquely uses off-car wheel balancing and RFV (eccentricity) combined with OEM on-car best practice recommendations to eliminate the most difficult tire and wheel related vibration problems.
Wheel balance, RFV measurement and on-car processes are used to be sure the assembly is balanced and also round when rolling on the vehicle. At more than 40% cost savings in equipment investment, the HubMatch™ balancer provides a 78% faster cycle time than traditional RFV balancers. The wheel is balanced in a improved and simpler way. Tire to wheel RFV match mounting (eccentricity reduction) is virtually eliminated with this unique process. Auto prompting RFV Limit Monitor checks every assembly for excessive RFV during 5-sec balancing cycles. Technician is guided through a simple and fast repair process.
HubMatch® Balancing
Wheel balancers alone may not all solve tire and wheel related vibration complaints on sensitive vehicles. Tires must be balanced and be “round when rolling” to be sure the vehicle rides smoothly.
Based on best practice OEM balancing processes, HubMatch™ balancing clocks the RFV high point of the assembly to the vehicle hub before mounting
HubMatch™ RFV wheel balancers are designed for today’s improved quality tires and wheels, and take into account what is important to solve vibration on sensitive vehicles. HubMatch™ RFV balancers uniquely combine enhanced off-car wheel balancing and eccentricity (RFV) measurement with on-the-car best practice OEM recommendations.
AutoAdaptive Mode Balancing
With traditional wheel balancing, a wheel is considered balanced when the residual imbalance is less than 5 grams per plane, independent of the wheel’s dimensions and weight.
The vibration a driver perceives when driving, considering whatever imbalance, also sources from the wheel’s weight and shape. The heavier the wheel is the less a residual imbalance will be perceived by the driver. On the other hand, with a light wheel, even with a minimal residual imbalance, the driver will sense noticeable vibrations on the steering wheel.
The innovative tolerance calculation system AutoAdaptive Mode is based on the evaluation of the residual imbalance limit value corresponding to an acceptable perceived vibration. For each wheel that is balanced, the software AutoAdaptive Mode detects weight and dimensions and calculates the tolerance value that will cancel any vibration perceived on the steering wheel. AutoAdaptive Mode grants the highest comfort when driving, and together with OPB Program, saves balancing time.
One Plane Balancing (OPB)
Static unbalance is the source of most vibrations felt by the driver. On the current wheel balancers, even if it is possible to balance only the static, it is very difficult not to increase the residual dynamic value, with the consequent risk to exceed the tolerance limits and increase the vibrations felt when driving. The above leads to an inaccurate balance with a loss of time and counterweights.
Today CEMB revolutionizes the technique, again.
Thanks to the new OPB Software (One Plane Balancing) and to the most recent technical innovations, such as Laser Spotter and 3D Laser Scan, the machine proposes a single ideal correction plane, indicating the exact point inside the rim where it is possible to balance the wheel minimizing both static and dynamic imbalance, using only one counterweight and thus enabling a great savings in time. OPB program is activated automatically at the end of the spin, when the machine detects that it is possible to correct with one weight.
Laser Spotter
During the correction, the LASER SPOTTER pinpoints the exact position for stick-on weights application inside the rim. Thanks to the electric brake – which locks the wheel into the exact angular position of the unbalance – and the laser spotter you avoid possible errors during the weight application making the balancing process faster, simpler and more precise.
